Our expansion in the United Kingdom

Since he first brought the Be An Artist Program to the United Kingdom in 2007, Darden Smith has returned each year to different schools all across the country.

This year, the Be An Artist Program is proud to formally expand its reach in the U.K. We’ve established a London-based location and by late 2011 we’ll have a website devoted specifically to the U.K. And we later plan to be welcoming other facilitators personally trained by Darden.

As always, our goal is to inspire students to explore and appreciate their innate creative abilities. And by paying particular attention to the differences between the American and British education systems — and reshaping the program’s presentation and approach — we aim to better connect with students in British classrooms. And yes, in the U.K. we’ll even be known as the Be An Artist Programme.
